The microfluidizer is located at Jordan Hall 047 and is used for cell disruption as well as liposomes and emulsion preparations. Air consumption is needed during operation, so that four air cilinder are installed and should be replaced upon exhausting the existent ones. The microfluidizer operates at pressures up to 30,000 psi (2068 bar) and requires a minimum sample size of 15 ml.
